Carazinho, Brazil – A devastating accident claimed the life of a 25-year-old motorcyclist, Davi Augusto Machado, on BR-285 near Ulbra in Carazinho on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The fatal crash occurred around 1:15 PM when Machado, riding a red Yamaha YBR, lost control and collided with a Volkswagen Golf. Moments later, a truck traveling in the opposite direction struck him, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the young man was heading to work when the collision occurred. The cause of the initial loss of control remains under investigation. The violent impact caused significant traffic disruptions, with the highway reduced to a single lane as emergency responders, including the Carazinho Fire Department and SAMU, attended the scene. Despite their efforts, Machado could not be saved.
